Real or conversion/bootleg Ghosts'n Goblins pcb?

Post by mikehaggar »

A few months back I purchased a Ghosts'n Goblins PCB and was told that it was authentic, however, I didn't have the means to check at that moment if it was real or not.

I know conversions of Ghouls n' Ghosts are extremely common (hell, I have one myself!), but haven't heard if the original game is commonly converted.

You guys are experts about PCBs, so I wanted to pose the question: is this an authentic Ghosts'n Goblins, or is a conversion/bootleg?

Thanks!

That's an original!

The roms stickers are all good: MM=Makai Mura, and that big black Capcom chip is a custom that's unique to GnG. Congrats on the pickup.

They used to be a pig to repair until the schematics were unearthed, due to the masking covering all the tracks - specifically to make it harder for bootleggers.

Didn't work.
