Gah, I just read an article on this that ends with "You might hate him, but he made Fez – and as such, he’s probably better than you." .. Jesus, will this guy's sycophants ever stop? Is it ironic? I mean.. holy crap.

Yes, he made a game. It's not completely horrible, but his attitude definitely soured the milk. And he obviously didn't enjoy the experience.

I hear so many people bitching about their job and lashing out, but they still go back day after day. At least Phil did something right for once.

If you can't be happy doing something, why keep doing it?

I was all hyped up for Fez, it looked great, the reviews were gushing. I might have liked it more if it weren't for the basically unusable map. I played it for a few hours, got super lost and decided 'fuck it, they should have put a quick travel in'.

Is there an official source? It would be good to know if the jerk is trying to troll everyone.

Ugh, he's got Andy Kaufman as his Twitter avatar. Well, that should tell you something about this publicity stunt.

It's all a publicity stunt to get people to talk about his shitty game (hint: it's working because everyone won't shut the fuck up about it).

It's not like that automatically means downloads and revenue for him. Otherwise, Ed Wood's heirs would be rolling in stratospheric amounts of money by now.

The guy's too much of a narcissist to just up and quit like that. I'm guessing he'll attention whore for a while on the whole thing, then quietly resume the project right around the time he realizes that one slightly above-average game isn't exactly going to pay the bills for very long.

Don't get the wrong idea. He got enough free advertising that he could live off the bank interest alone for forever as long as he doesn't inhale a dozen kilos of cocaine and rent out a $1,000 prostitute every night.

The average game is lucky to have ten people buy the damn thing, for contrast.
