What's best for 480i Input on XRGB Mini - Component or RGB?

Post by retrogeek777 »

Hi all I was wondering if I can get a better picture using an RGB Scart Lead with PS2 480i with the Xrgb mini or is component better or is there not much difference between the two on the XRGB mini ???

Also playing PSone Gamea on the Mini better with component or RGB

Thanks in advance

RGB is slightly better, but not due to the mini's processing of both, but due to the fact that the PS2 adds quite some noise to it's component signal. Component makes it much easier to get 480p from those few selected PS2 titles though.

Hi Fudoh I actually prefer 480i games upscaled by the mini to 720p With Scanlines it looks stunning (tried mario kart wii)

I've gone of 480p games lol thanks to the mini

Thanks for the info I found an official Sony ps2 RGB Scart at a decent price so I'm gonna purchase that and use it with the mini

Why would you want scanlines on Mario Kart Wii?
I've gone of 480p games lol thanks to the mini
That makes no sense whatsoever.
