Having not played Futari in months, I decided to pop it for some quality time with it today. What immediately struck me was that I was experiencing a random micro stutter no more than half a second long about every five or so minutes.
The music doesn't stutter, but all gameplay action freezes up for that short moment and resumes as if nothing happened with no slowdown before or after the event.
I've not had this happen before, and my game isn't installed onto the HDD. Maybe I just have a dirty disc, but I'll play for a bit longer and see if it goes away or not. Anyone had something similar happen with Futari or otherwise?

I only get one stutter in one specific part at the beginning of Black Label. I've heard other people get it worse, and it helps if you change your xbox live settings so that it doesn't notify you when people sign on.

This started happening to pretty much everyone who installed BL, IIRC. It doesn't happen terribly often for me (certainly not every five minutes), so I just got used to it.

I've never experienced what you've described, but my Xbox is never online.
Re: Stutter in Mushihimesasma Futari 360?
All I can say is that there is a known glitch with Black Label where the game will freeze for less than a second at some point during your run, every time you first run the game. It usually takes care of itself on stage 1, sometimes 2 but I've had it happen as late as stage 3 as well.
Further credits on the game and the issue fails to make an appearance, only the first time you play does it appear.
This is on a Japanese 250GB Slim console with the game installed to the machine.
You say you are running the game off the disc, my advice would to be to try installing it if the issue doesn't clear up and see what happens cos it shouldn't occur more than once, in my experience (and others too IIRC).

Re: Stutter in Mushihimesasma Futari 360?
It's related to installing Black Label, but it doesn't happen to every console. Nobody's really sure what causes it to happen on some consoles and not on others. I'm lucky to have a console that doesn't have that issue (I've never seen it on my console, ever), and I've got Black Label installed, whereas a friend has Futari + BL on his Japanese Xbox and he has that issue. I've played runs with it, and it's not that bad to deal with honestly. Uninstalling and reinstalling might help, but in some cases it won't fix it apparently.

fortunately doesn't happen on my US360S or JP360S that I swap my 250GB hard drive between. I'm connected to XBL too and have friend notifications on.

Thanks for all the input. I thought my 360 might have been going bunk or something. I had BL installed long before, but it only started happening now.
For the record, I've been playing it on a 360 Slim.
I installed the game to my HDD and now it seemed to have fixed the issue.

Move the dlc to some kind of flash memory. I have a 4gb console (with a 320gb hdd) and all my futari stuff is the only thing on my internal flash and it runs fine. Whereas it stutters if its on the hdd. If you don't have internal memory in your xbox I think you can format a usb flash drive for use and move it to that.

The other option is to disconnect from Live (which is what I do as the stuttering occurs at least once per stage on my console), this will prevent the stuttering.
