And it's up on Youtube in HD. Short and sweet and under 45 minutes!

Great episode guys! I had never seen past first few stages in this game and wow, the backgrounds on some of those later levels (and the last level in particular) were amazing!

A lot of people seem to have angst against the giant flying mech boss in Area 5, but I've always found it one of the easiest bosses, since it's fairly straight-forward and you have a lot of room to maneuver, unlike the fighter jet and spider mech of the previous levels. The way Icarus dodged the laser spread by point-blanking the head was really nice. I'll have to try that out! Similarly, with the regenerating columns in Area 6 - that spot has always been the bane of my run-throughs.

I really enjoyed the episode.

I really want to see the episode, but I haven't had time. Yeah, the st5 boss is hard until you know the tricks, but he's really not too bad. For me, the trick on the laser spread is not to move until you see a laser bolt headed right for you. There's usually only one in the entire volley that'll do that. And of course avoiding the yellow balls by moving in a squareish pattern through them and back down.

One of those shooters it's fun just to watch play out, even better with quality commentary. Posted a comment on the YT page, but just to confirm, Rayforce is on Taito Memories II Joukan (PS2, Japan only).
