Taito Memories Vol. 2

Post by SAM »

I checked the game list at Taito's website, vol. 2 got the following shumps

Space Invaders
Space Invaders Part II
Balloon
Front Line
Insector X
Gun Frontier
あっかんべぇだぁ~
逆鱗弾
RayStorm
G Darius

It seems there is even more shumps in vol.2 :D

Insector X, Gun Frontier, あっかんべぇだぁ~ and 逆鱗弾 would be great. :)

%印のタイトルは家庭用版の「アーケードモード」の移植です
But for the RayStorm and G Darius, it would be just the Arcade mode of previous released console version. I think they are putting the PSOne version on it.

Since I already own both PSOne versions of these games, they would means nothing to me...

★「ガンフロンティア」「エレベーターアクション」「クイックス」「フロントライン」「ニュージーランドストーリー」 以上、5タイトルはゲームを初めて起動した時には、遊ぶことが
Five games would be initially locked again this time. Why are them doing this again? That's totally pointless. :x

できません。 ある条件を満たすことにより、遊ぶことができるようになります。
その条件につきましては、本ソフト発売予定日8月25日に当ホームページに掲載の予定です。
Anyway they also said that they would post the unlocking requirements on their web site on 25 Aug, the release date. :? At least we don't need to guess what the unlock requirements are this time. :(

And yet it even got the following non-shumps

Qixx
The legand of Kage
The Newzealand Story
Elevator Action
Puzzle Bobble 2

Still seems to be a great offer. :)

I agree :x, although there will probably be a secret button combination to unlock them all, just like there is in the first compilation :)

Shame Raystorm is on there and not Rayforce...or even better yet, all three games. I'm really looking forward to having a home version of Space Invaders '95, though.

If you are like Rayforce, be keep an eye on the SIMPLE 1500 Vol.75, it got both Raystorm and Raycrisis on a single disc for just US$14 !!!

I got one from a local store 6 months ago, what a steal. :D

But still the Rayforce with its 2D graphic is still my faviourate. :) Too bad only the Saturn have it. :? Anyway, even if Rayforce was included, it would be in a letter box just like the others with a vertical screen setup. Consider this, I rather they have Raystorm which uses a horizontal screen setup. :o

I don't mind playing in Yoko as long as it's in full resolution and just scaledto fit vertically. Tate is nice and all, but really... it's not essential with modern consoles, it's just a nice bonus. As long as a game doesn't fit horizontally and cut off the top and bottom (wobble :( ), i'm good.

I got mine yesterday. I haven't had much time to play it, with work and all.
Gun Frontier, Elevator Action, Qix, Front Line, and New Zealand Story need to be unlocked. Also still no TATE mode on any of the vertical shooters and no progressive scan.
Main CPU : MC68000 x 2
Sound CPU : Z80
Sound chip : YM2151 + Custom PCM chip
Video resoution : 320 x 224

I'm still wanting this one. At least this version RayStorm won't be Working Designs' version.

Lack of tate still is a total WTF. Anyway, the lineup in this one and Joukan together still smokes Taito Legends. Screw the unlocking- when I get this, I'll be inputting the command right out of the gate.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

the lack of tate is a shame. i would've liked accurate versions of gekirindan and gun frontier.

Anyone know if this "special package" is some kind of Korean exclusive:

Space Invaders 95 is awesome and a game I have always wanted. But, the game graphics are so damned small without a tate option it is almost impossible to play.

There's so many great games on here, it's hard to find fault with this collection. No tate, but Liquid Kids is so perfect on here....plus G Darius is slowdown free so its hard and fast.
