Hello Everyone,
I'm writing today because a high quality webcomic that I am a fan of is on the verge of going away.
Bruno The Bandit (http://www.brunothebandit.com) by Ian McDonald is a humour fantasy comic that has been around for 7 years. Its quality of art has consistently improved over the years, and the jokes have always been fresh. Bruno’s unique brand of humour comes mostly from the witty and elaborate social parodies set in a fantasy world. It is updated nearly 5 days a week.
Why does this comic need saving? Because its author has been thinking of quitting, since he has hoped to make a living from the comic for the last 9 years, and the strip has not taken off. I think this is simply because the author has never focused on making a profit, on trying to market the comic to a large crowd.
What I am looking for is support. Deciding whether the comic is good is your choice, but I believe that I am not shamelessly pitching random stuff to you. I want to honestly introduce to everyone a comic that I have enjoyed for years. The comic is free, but if you get hooked on it, and would like to donate once in a while, you would help its author keep producing the high quality entertainment that is hard to come by these days.
Please give the comic a try, post a message of support at the bruno forum, read it regularly (I hope)...
As a fan, I hope that good art does not go away.
Thank you for your time.
