I work for a company that produces cellphone games, so I naturally take great interest in the achievements of others in that field.
I think the Mushi cellphone game looks very interesting, judging from the screenshots on the flyer that came with the PS2 version and I think the SD rendition of Reko (the sprite from the mobile game also appears during the loading screens of the PS2 game) is very well done and incredibly cute. Nice graphics.
Yet from the screens alone I can't possibly figure out what type of game this is. It could be everything from Zelda clone or puzzle game to overhead run'n'gun. Taking into consideration that Japan not only uses a totally different system for cellphone games but also only makes them available only through a submission system it's not very likely that any of us westerners will ever see more of the game.
So I'm asking the people residing in Japan: Has anyone gotten this game and can give a brief description of what it's like?
(I'd also love to have some sprite rips of the game to study, but obviously that's out of question.)
What's the Mushi cellphone game like?
