STG Weekly #7: Strikers 1945

Post by Aquas »

Pretty late notice but this episode had some last minute strings that needed to be tied.
We will go live in about 30-ish minutes with Plasmo's 2-ALL Strikers 1945 replay.

STG Weekly would benefit greatly from a more advanced stream notification. Announce it a day beforehand or something... Even delaying the stream by a day to sort loose ends would be better than a half an hour warning.

Yes. Perhaps delivery could be better. There was a day of notice on the STG Weekly Twitter http://twitter.com/stgweekly It may be the best way to receive updates. I'll try to make the threads as soon as I know they are going to happen for those who haven't been assimilated to Twitter.

With that being said: the thread for Episode #8 should be up soon, as it is already decided we will be covering Mushihimesama Futari again. This time, Ultra mode. It will probably be on Friday afternoon again.

By the way: I kind of meant to mention this on the show but I think it'd be neat if we had a 30 second-1 minute video intro for STG Weekly. (It should be badass) We also need a logo. If anyone wants to do something awesome like that please feel free. 30 seconds would probably be best. An outro would be nice, too, huh. Maybe the intro could serve as an outro as well, type of thing.

Youtube link to today's episode coming later.

This was probably my favorite episode yet. Great play, hilarious AND informative commentary, and a higher stream quality. Great work guys, and awesome run Plasmo. I've actually been playing Strikers 1945 a fair bit lately, and I'm considering picking up the PCB, so it was great to see it featured.

I second trap's recommendation for R-type Delta (or any of them for that matter).

Personally, if we're talking R-Type, I'd like to see a superplay of R-Type 3's second loop. I wanna see someone do that lava maze from memory under pressure lol.

Great video, I really enjoyed this one. I was able to clear the first loop after playing on/off for a couple of years. An exhausting game.... I didn't really play it after I finally cleared the first loop  So it was great to see someone beating those crazy fast patterns.

Also, really nice to see that the video quality has been improved 8)

This video has good examples of medal collecting. I always had consistency issues on the timing. I'll definitely have to toss it in again and try a few things out.
