I would personally recommend staying well-clear of both of those. But if you insist on playing them be prepared for a world of hurt (from the games).
Be attitude for gains:
1) Be praying...
2) Be praying...
3) Be praying...

And a shameless plug for the stuff I'm selling on eBay, if you're into that sort of thing.

I don't insist on playing them, that's why I'm asking for some opinions on both from people on this site.
Fair enough. My opinion is that they're both awful games. :D

Gah, if I could capture video of Galaxy Force II right now, I would :(

I have the game and never really spent much time with it.. I just felt like it was something I may as well own since I enjoyed playing the shit out of it in arcades and later in FinalBurn/MAME (It's no Rail Chase I/II though :( Those games fucking owned from on high).

Maybe I will get around to firing it up one of these days...

Altered Beast...heh... if you DO get it, i demand a lengthly and indepth review (I'll repay with a lengthly indepth Predator Concrete Jungle review and we'll call it squarsies :) )

T-T-T-T-T-T-TANGENT

I think I'm going to import Oz. It looks fucking rad

That's an opinion, but it's also a lame cop out. You know that dave4shmups wants know about the games, not just that they are awful ports.

Roushimsx, thanks for the input, but how well does Galaxy Force II control on the Saturn? I just don't want to run into the same problems I had with After Burner II. Thanks!! :D

And for the record, the PS2 Altered Beast sucks. It sucks because it's an absolutely generic game with none of the charm of the original, and it appears to have almost no budget. It's a cheesy, cheap game that was clearly released solely in the hopes that it would sell on brand recognition, but if the brand isn't important to you, it has nothing to offer.

A prick because of how you asked for it. There's a difference between "could you clarify that a bit" and "oh yeah, THAT helps " that a ten yaer old could figure out. If you're going to ask someone for help, don't be rude to them once they've tried to give it.

Thanks for the feedback, lets just drop the rest alright? I don't want to argue anymore. Too bad about Project Altered Beast, the movie I watched on the official site looked incredible! :(
