Star Soldier Aleck 64 Jamma up and running
.. finally hacked Star Soldier Aleck 64 to standard Jamma (4 buttons per player) to be able to play it in standard Jamma cab without Aleck64 special panel. This game was not seen in pcb shops FOR YEARS!

Neat! Pops up on YAJ probably once per year. I wouldn't mind having a full Aleck64 set.

Not sure, but I also wonder how hard it would be to get these games running on the N64? Would be sweet to have stuff like Tower & Shaft on the telly (vs. the GBA)!Fudoh wrote:slightly OT. but how does the arcade version compare to the N64 version of the game ?

Judging by the MAME driver, fairly trivial. I should try it at some pointundamned wrote:I also wonder how hard it would be to get these games running on the N64?

OT for sure...
What's the point of this game? I watched this video and I couldn't figure it out. (Also, somebody post those two options from the menu for that guy, please!)Fudoh wrote:ha, the only GBA cart constantly stuck in my Cube GBA playerWould be sweet to have stuff like Tower & Shaft on the telly (vs. the GBA)!

It's a single button reaction/puzzle game. The character runs by itself and you simply hit a button when you want him to jump (hold the button to make him jump higher). In Tower mode the screen goes up and you die when you fall off a plattform. In Shaft mode the screen goes down.

Why not just hack an N64 pad wire to connect to the Aleck64 instead?
