Faulty SLG3000?

Post by Jaz »

Hi all,

My SLG3000 doesn't seem to work. Does it sound like it might be defective?

I have a Wii outputting 480p. The emulator I am running on the Wii is also set to output 480p.

The Wii is connected via component to a DVDO iScan HD+.

The scaler is set to output VGA (640x480).

The scaler is effectively just passing the picture through to my TV.

The TV is a Samsung D6600 55" LED.

The only DIP Switch settings that work are:

Default settings when the unit arrived - nothing.

Both off - scanlines, cannot adjust them and they make the screen shake and flicker

4 on 5 off - the screen is dark but no scanlines.

Any ideas?

Thanks Fudoh.

I tried the al with no luck.

The documentation for the iScan says to use H+V+ for VGA.

Which do you suggest is the preferred option?

If you can't change the sync polarity within the iScan then this might be the problem. Can you try some other output resolutions like 800x600 or XGA to see if the SLG behaves differently ?
