I'm trying to decide between them. PS2 would be a bit more convenient (especially the GunCon2 compatibility), but as usual with compilations I'm a bit wary of possible issues with input lag, resolution, etc. I'd hope it'd be a straight PS1 transfer with GC2 support, but these things do go awry. Reviews of the PS2 disc seem really thin on the ground, at least in English.
For those familiar with these games on both platforms, does the PS2 set perform accurately or am I better off with the original PS1 discs and a GunCon1? Thanks for any help!
PS2 Gunvari (Point Blank) Collection vs PS1 discs?
Re: PS2 Gunvari (Point Blank) Collection vs PS1 discs?
I don't know much of anything about technical details with Gunvari vs the PS1 discs, so to my untrained eye the resolution and all that seemed okay to me. What concerned me the most was the accuracy, and perhaps this more of a GC1 vs GC2 thing. Testing with 2 TVs, I could pull off more accurate shots with the GC1 than the GC2. It doesn't feel so bad playing with the GC2 when shooting "blob" targets in TC2/3, but it definitely isn't a placebo effect. Or maybe my GC2 is just borked...
