Now You can make your own creations with Alien Crusher.

Post by 2DStar »

Hi, Guys,

I have an idea. How about letting you guys make your own Alien Crushers with my AC-Editors. You can edit levels. You can edit enemies' waves. You can make your own mini-bosses or even bosses and his transformations and guns points. ( It is not normal sprite animations. Please play the game first to see to get the idea how it is made. If you don't have IOS device, email me ( twodstar@gmail.com ) . I will send a link to download Windows/Mac Testing build to you. ). But before we dot that, please let me know your abilities and skills ( Art Skills / Leveling-Skills ) first. No programming/Scripting skill is needed to create your own Alien Crusher but you must be a little familiar with some IT knowledge such as file formats, file paths ..etc. If you really make some good levels/ boss, I am very happy to use your efforts in our next game updates/patches.

This looks fantastic from the screenshots. Lovely art style. I've been considering creating a "Design A Boss" mode for a while that can have its scripts transmitted over peer to peer - using a simple and noddy visual scripting system where players can just select attack patterns and place them on a timeline.

Is this sharing over any sort of network? If so - colour me impressed :)

I would say though, offer an incentive to people for providing you with "official" content. Guaranteed accreditation for their work allows them to put a commercial game on their CV/Resume as a level designer - or something :)

Okay i see a few problems:
- lots of use of random stuff (boss movements)
- very large hitbox, i think the entire sprite of the ship is collidable, generally it should a little smaller for classic style shmups around 90% and for bullet hell you can go down to 10% or lesser
- player has health bar, big no no, you can split it in to two modes, normal with health bar and arcade with 1HP
- player dialogue box obscures playfeild
- boss takes too long to die, remember its like a song, if its just a few patterns be like the beatles, short and sweet, e.g. almost every good shmup boss, and if its quite a lot of variations then its better to be like pink floyd, e.g. Hellsinker and R-types stage long bosses

this is not on gameplay, but the trailer music reminded me of inception.... i click the link and switch to another tab, then i was wondering why was inception music playing...
