New official patch/update for kamui

This is a heads up for ppl who didn't know/notice yet.
The new patch can be found on the Siter Skain website and can only be applied to the full version of the game.

Key changes:
-Corrected color error when in full screen for W7 and Vista
-OGG support for BGM
-High Resolution Font

From how I understand
・Fixed the color problems when going fullscreen with W7 and Vista. (Requires DirectX9)
・F7 turns filter on/off
・F11, F12 you can change the magnification in widescreen mode
・Ending skip key changed from F7 to F9
・Config application changed to match changes with ver1.11

-OGG support for BGM
-High Resolution Font

Yep. So pretty much just fixes for compatability issues and some shortcut keys for options unless "filter" is something new and not the detail setting

I have no idea. I've only ever heard about it on the internet while searching for something else. I think it might just be menu translations actually.

A complete English patch for Kamui version 1.10 was released on DoujinStyle back in December. It's by the same guy who made an English patch for Ether Vapor (not the Remaster version). The Kamui patch isn't quality-checked, and I'm not sure when or if its author will release another version as he once intended to do so. PM me for the link since I can't really provide it here due to the site it's hosted on, or just search for it on Google.

Official patch doesnt work on my xp_sp3. The old one do. DirectX error occured and matching different DLLs cannot change this ((

Wish I'd known about that translation before I memorised the various menu options. Have since forgotten them. Thanks Ghegs, that'll come in handy when I finally get around to clearing Advanced.

Thanks a lot for this! I knew Kamui was a great game but only just now with that English patch was I able to configure the controls to something comfortable. I'm very picky and needed to have a certain button fire and the next lock on. Before they were reversed and I just couldn't cope.

Now I'm finally able to really enjoy it.

How do you get this to work? The "patch" seems to be the full game minus a few crucial files. It just closes itself out every time I start it up, even with the files it wants added.

Bump. There's now a v1.12, released back in March; you can find it at the support page, of course.

Seems to be mostly bugfixes. The Direct3DCreate9Ex error (XP-only thing?) is gone (at least for now), the setup program has more options, something involving 360 controllers not working right on Windows 7 has been fixed, and we now have vertical mode, complete with a 16:9 option (pure stretching, of course), though I'm not sure it works right. Can't figure out some of these options, though.
