Found on Kotaku so this might've been posted here some time ago, but I figured I'd share just in case - basically, some guy got the idea to paste shmup-ish sprites on top of photographs of ancient statues, making it look like said statues are boss fights. Silly, but I'm still always glad to see shooters referenced wherever I can find 'em.

Again, if it's already been posted here let me know and I'll lock this.

And as far as the shmup art goes... it looks pretty ghetto. I don't suppose it's all bad though, it's cool in a Pang kinda way.

Space Bomber did something like that better. Also, Sonic Wings (2, was it?)

I saw this the other day. The idea is cute, but the actual images weren't put together very well.
