Kickstarter for Shmups

At the moment crowdfunding is very popular. Since there are still a few a Shmups that are not available for modern platforms I thought kickstarter could work here too.

I would love to see Border Down for XBLA/PSN. A Raizing Complilation (Garegga, Batrider, Bakraid) would be nice too. Batsugun, Donpachi & Dodonpachi are also missing on new platforms.

What would you kickstart or where do you see a realistic chance?

Kickstarter is basically a collective rich fat man wearing a scruffy suit throwing money at something for personal gain. The entire pledge drive notion hinders on; something looking neat, someone wanting something neat.

People are not going to fund unlocalized foreign projects or their companies selflessly. And if they are, they will be in the vocal minority. Hell, this entire forum is a vocal minority, which does not make for proper business.

I think it's possible for non-US resident to use Kickstarter if you have a US resident as an intermediary.

I considered doing it myself for XOP G .. we'll see what happens, though.
