On April 5, as the Algorithm constellations assume their patterns, zombies set out to haunt every village. Enthralled by the magical power of FM sound, and obsessed with the idea of seducing and conscribing all of mankind, they inflict FM terror on its inhabitants. Victims will be paralyzed with fear and have their brains shocked to death. However, a new passion will be concurrently awakened within their souls.

They will become the new apostles; the new creators of FM sound...

FM sound is undead.

Oh wow. Thanks for the links - not come across this before, downloaded the first one tonight and absoultely love it. It's like 1970s' Stevie Wonder teaming up with Squarepusher and covering DJ MAX tunes.

Honestly the first one was so damn good my expectations are probably a little too high for this one. Still can't wait!

Bumping the topic cuz this is happening tomorrow! Or, at any rate, less than 24 hours from now.

Here's the Facebook invite for the online listening party: https://www.facebook.com/events/373336189355691/

It'll be on ubiktune.org too.

Hell yeah, downloaded. Loved what I heard of the stream but it was 3am here so I couldn't play blast it like I wanted (thin walls + neighbour is a nice old lady who wouldn't survive the FM funk terror). Will blast it upon the morrow!

AWESOME stuff right here. It would be cool if there were real bands that sounded just like this. Maybe there are, but I don't know of any.

Now this is more like it. First playthrough with decent volume, favourite track atm is "Megabits per Second" and its massively hooky soulful refrain.

edit: "Back Alley Clash" = BARE KNUCKLE IV / SHINOBI IV music that never was... before metamorphosing into a full-fledged FM epic. <333

edit 2: man, actually... the last four tracks all feel really expansive, without losing the punchy rhythms and crisp synth melodies of the shorter songs. Great work on Yamaha Action (gimme dat cowbell) and Funk Destruction/Bitcrush Lullaby, zinger+bacter and louisg!

Yamaha Action is heavenly. Fantastic combination of an almost ethereal vibe and gorgeous melodies with tight, hard-hitting rhythm. The ambient sounds underpinning it complement things perfectly.

Still really enjoying this. The last three tracks in particular... bummed I missed out on the chiptune show several months back that louisg participated in, here in SF. I recently listened to everything on headphones, since I don't have a great space in which to hear all the nice stereo fx. Some of these tracks feel like the lost Sonic levels or something, from my somewhat limited frame of reference.

I like to listen to this while I translate. And my ladyfriend says this gets her through her shitty day job. 8) We both agree a sunny summer coastal drive is in order for Yamaha Action.
