Kind of neat too, as the post below mine was handsome rakshas, who I met on the weekend at the Chicago meet.

Hard to believe 5000 times, mind you I have almost 800 posts just in my meet thread.Also, I turn 30 today/tomorrow(23rd).
Even though this forum has changed considerably and the user base has drifted to a much younger crowd for the most part, I still find myself coming back here everyday to read whats up, even though for the most part, I don't really care, and hardly ever post outside of off topic and shmupmeets, mainly due to the fact I don't collect or play ports or console games, or feel like I have anything to add to most of the threads that get posted these days. I think it's more for the familiar faces and the drama from the usual suspects. Oh, the battles I used to have with Elixir back then,and even not that long ago.
I am thankful for the friends I have made here over the years, some I have met in real life and others only in text form, but friends nonetheless.
It's a bit sobering to look back, even just the way I used to post makes me laugh now.
I'm sure most of the new kids on the block hardly even know who I am, and will probably post some silliness in this thread, but hey.....that's cool with me.
Just thought I would share this crazy coincidence of dates and numbers with you guys.

Even though I feel like an old man yelling at kids to get off my lawn and 'back in my day' more often than not when I read stuff here these days. As much as this place and the new wave of younger posters bugs me sometimes, I always end up back here. Here's to common interests I guess!
