What matters to the military is that they get the job done regardless of how much it costs the taxpayers as they're footing the bill anyways. As usual, it's the latest 'n' greatest military toys to decide what to buy/acquire next.

Actually it'd be good for getting new recruits, it's general knowledge that the amount of fresh blood in military services everywhere has been on a decline for a long time now.

If I ever had the motivation and the money to actually do RC planes, I've always thought it might be fun to try to make a flyable Aegis from Raiden Fighters. Probably never going to happen, but it would be interesting to see if the design is actually practical.
