New Commodore 64

Post by gct »

Hope this hasn't been posted yet, Commodore is releasing pre-built and customizable PC in a retro-look keyboard casing.

I wouldn't use anything with an Atom again, but I like the barebones version, I think it would be pretty sweet to run a Zotac Z68ITX-B-E from it!

Some kids bought the Commodore brand, and that's what they do with it :(
(Drum says : ) Bin Laden, Ghaddafi, Steve Jobs and now Kim Jong Il. It has been a tough year for evil.

Ugh. I'd much rather see C64 reproduction devices, kind of like what companies like Yobo have done with the NES/Genesis/SNES. Seriously, is there just less computer nostalgia in places like the UK than there is NES nostalgia in the US?

Commodore ceased to exist 17 years ago. This is bull and has 0 to do with Commodore or the C64.
It's nothing but a money making scheme. Don't be an idiot: If you want a C64, then buy a real one on ebay.

Personally I'm more interested in different ITX enclosures, so at least for myself it's not about having a functional C64 system, but a modern Windows PC in a neat case. I'm sure some of you might have thought an ITX system inside a gutted NES case is cool without saying buy a NES from a pawn shop if you want a NES so badly.

Fools and their money to be happily parted, both sides benefit. I don't see what's the matter with selling something that some small number of people will want to buy. The rest of you who actually do want functioning C64s then you can buy them on eBay.

AMEN to that. The two pet peeves I would be tick off with this PC system: no cartridge and controller port?!?!
