EPIC Space Invaders game.

People watching on youtube might have seen this game.

SPICE INVADERS

You might think that it doesn't really exist, judging by the guys other videos, but once upon a time if you followed the link in the comment, you indeed found a playable version of the game, and it played just like the video, though it didn't have the same intro cutscenes. It also gives you three lives instead of just one.

Well, I just happened to archive that game. :)

arrows to move, z=spread shot, x=focused shot (slow move and shows hitbox),c=bomb (you get 3, +1 each time you die)

Game records the top 100 replays for later. press C to bring up the replay list.

I don't get it. It looks to me like any other modern vertically scrolling shooter with Space Invaders graphics pasted over top.

A freeware game that seems to have vanished from the net until now.

And yes, it's a small modern shooter with space invaders graphics. and galaxians graphics. and galaga graphics, and xevious graphics. and a few other classics besides.

It does have good taste in music, though. :)

Interesting game. Does anyone recognize the sprite used for the boss after the Star Force ship?

That's the Star Soldier ship with the iconic five-way spreadshot.
