HDFury clones ?

I'm looking for an HDFury (v1) and I heard bad things about clones.

Is it possible to identify a clone and if yes how to ?

Clones in terms of similar devices.... To my knowledge there are 1:1 clones of the HDFury. The HDFury is easily available here on ebay.de and amazon.de and these are all originals.

oh, yes, they are. But at least they're called "HD Fire Fury" and they don't have the golden metal chassis of the original, so it's easy to tell. You could try and get a HD Fury Gamer Edition, which is an actual HDMI to VGA cable instead of a box without any cables. I assume you don't actually need DVI anymore, so this should be fine.
