I brought a game called Sanvein (made by success) the other day brand new for a princely sum of £3 and I can't stop playing it ever since, it's brillant! I really like how this game works and how the scoring system and power up system works because it all rewards skill.
I think a lot of people were a little to harsh on this game when it first came out. Yes it's fairly short and quite frankly weird but this is one of the most prime examples of an score attack shmup if every I saw one, it's fantastic!
well anyway if anyone is intrestested I've made 7 wallpapers for putting on to you're desktop and put them all into a zip file which is around 400kb big so check it out and tell me what you think!
However, very nice desktop images... One suggestion.. please save them in bmp format... I know it's large, but it's much cleaner and universally excepted.
If you're interested, I can pop my 61,000+ pt replay back on-line.
After looking at the screen this is an exsact screen capture in other words what you are seeing right there is what it's like on the game running from my EMU.

YES, I LOVE Sanvein! I've been a Success fan for a while, and Sanvein is so incredibly addicting, that it's just frickin' sick!. And while the graphics are abstract in style, they still-especially the flames-look beautiful. And the icing on the cake is that, whether you get the US port or the JP one, it's DIRT cheap-even new.
Don't get me wrong, I like Smash TV and Total Carnage, but, IMO, Sanvein OWNZ them both! You simply cannot go wrong with this game.
I picked up a copy of Sanvein at Gamestop for $1.80, and for the money, I am quite satisfied.
This isn't a great game, but it isn't bad. It does have some interesting aspects, and at times it feels like I'm playing a dumbed down version of Custom Robo (it must be the arena...). It's different enough (and cheap enough) to warrant a purchase...just don't pay more than $6 for the thing!
