Just got this device from local auction site, but it is missing the RGB/Scart cable. I was wondering whether anyone has this and can tell me which pin does what so I can make my own cable OR at least show me a way to test each pin to find out what each does.
Can't help you with the pinout, but it's actually not very hard to find it by yourself. The output uses composite video as sync, you start with a cable to a composite video input of your display. Take ground from the outside shielding. You'll get a picture once you hit the right pin. After that go for the colors (R/G/B).
By the way: the Grandtec converters really aren't very good. What are you hoping for ? The RGB output is a mediocre 480i mess.
Mainly using it to capture video. I dont expect it to perform anything like the emotia, but its compact and handy to have around without lugging and chaining several equipments to display pc video on a 15khz crt. Plus got it cheap so its a nice toy none the less to play with.
So I should solder a wire to the metal surround of the port for the ground and prod each of the holes to find composite video?
