1-sissy ! Frogs play it easily !

Hi, as some of you may know (and most don't !) I'm one of the admin of the French site Shmup'em All, along with Tonton, MK_o0 and Max.Faraday. We do tons of things such as podcasts, tests, tutorials, etc...
But we also do something we call "1-sissy", which are videos of 1cc which are not superplays but what you'd call middleplays, with comments and tips to clear the game (on normal difficulty of course) easily.
All of those are in French so far, here's the list of what we've done (I'm the main contributor) :

Well this post because I'll have to practice my English a bit, and this is a part of Shmup'em All world conquest , so I'll probably try to dub some of them (one as a beginning !) in English.

You should try to get Dariusburst Another Chronicle and 4-man everything. I'd love to see that.

Yes! I would be rather interested in seeing some plays with commentary, that is a huge part that is missing from superplays in general. How-ever you want to do it would be fine, including subtitling them.

This sounds cool, Hydeux. All Clear vids with commentary (subtitles would be fine) are always interesting to watch. Also, "1-sissy" deserves to become part of international shooting vocabulary.

@Despatche : why would you prefer subtitles ? Anyway this is not what I want to do : it's quite a dull job to write and insert subtitles.

This sounds great, I'd like to see that 1-sissy of Espgaluda 2-BL. While there is something to appreciate watching a high-score superplay, middleground replays are usually more exciting to watch and helpful to beginner-intermediate players.

Since yesterday, we also have gatchaman The Shooting as a 1-sissy. (Not surprising : a sissy game anyway as long as you don't use sudden death)

That was fun to watch, your English was simple and easy to understand, you mixed up your words a few times but I'm sure that you can overcome that with more practice. I'd like to see more! I'm one of the people who really only try to 1-sissy these games.

Very interesting. I really enjoyed watching your Trizeal video. I don't think I've ever seen anyone playing through the whole game with rank off. I must try this one day.

For Trizeal, the actual world record is done with rank off for most of the game, the guy (forgot his name, sorry) just put it on in level 5, but as he loses lives on 5th boss, it goes back to off.

Interesting. Where can I see that video? The only real superplay of the game I've seen is the one on the insanity DVD. If I recall correctly, the guy there plays with rank on. He suicides near the end of stage 5 to milk one of the key scoring scenes, though. I always shy away from doing that, because I do need a few bombs for the battle with X-5, and I fear I can't recover from the suicide. Going the full rank-off route might be a solution to that problem.

Very cool. The safe spot at the first batch of turrets in stage 3 is funny. And bombing the breakout scene in stage 4 before it even begins is just ingenious.
