Heh, this could lead to lots of interesting shmup-themed undergarments, with off-color slogans printed on them, of course:

In the Hunt: "Torpedo Armed and Ready!"
Shikigami no Shiro: "Get close enough and you get a multiplier"
R-Type Final: "That one boss was based on ME"
Radiant Silvergun: "They only say 'It's too long' because they're jealous"
Rayforce: "Seeking the 'Fissure of Consciousness'"
Parodius: "You know you want to ride the missile"

...I need to go wash my hands after typing that.

Those are actually pretty cool!
They probably cost about $20 each though...They come with a "collector's" box and all.

I forgot to mention in my review of ZanacXZanac that in the instruction manual, it shows photos of a ZanacXZanac-logo t-shirt and baseball hat. Never seen those on Ebay; they must be pretty rare.

In any case, I think the Dig Dug boxers would be the perfect thing to wear if you're constipated.

If I wore boxers *ahem* (see an episode of Seinfeld for an explanation why) I'd buy the Dig Dug and Xevious ones.

I know a girl who has a T-shirt with pictures of those pixelated classic Space Invaders, and it says "We will destroy you"

The punk kid in Space Raiders also has a jacket with a Space Invader on the back

Seems practically every shmup-related slogan can work well on a pair of boxers...

Warning! The big **** is approaching at full throttle.
According to the data, it is identified as "Butsekkai"
NO REFUGE

(I'd buy that for a dollar...)

Darius Gaiden: "WARNING! A huge battleship Titanic Lance/Great Thing is approaching fast"

I'd definitely get the Pac-Man boxers. Hopefully they'll release more later. I want Galaga, Ms. Pac-Man, and Mr. Driller boxers.

Anyone know where to buy them?

Whoo. For the Ikaruga one, I can picture the face of Shinra on the right thigh, and on the left one: "I will not yield if my wish is not fulfilled."

Actually, I had made up my own weird/funny/perverted joke about that quote a long time ago...
It went something like this.

Warning! The big Enema is approaching at full force.
According to the data, it is identified as Buttsukah!
NO REFUSE!!

I'm surprised nobody's done a "Take off every boxers for great justice!" yet. Though TF did another Zero Wing-reference.

Dear Lord... some of you here need to wash your brains out with soap.

Anyhow, it's not hard to find cool otaku-style boxers at Jusco department stores in Japan. I have lots of cool stuff: Snoopy, Hello Kitty, Doraemon, Curl-Ojisan (from the Curl snacks), Lupin the 3rd, Gundam, Street Figther 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog. And since I like the feel of Japanese boxers far more than the loose, flappy ones in America, that's all I wear anymore.

Man, you're really "hardcore" to the MAX dood! Some of us buy "import games", you go a step further in to "Otaku-ism" by buying import underwear. Thats H-CORE man!!

What was that old song from the early 80's..."I think I'm turning Japanese"?
I really think so.
That song was made for you, my friend!

This is one of the odder things I've ever said to someone online. There's no good way to say this, so I won't even try to dance around this:

Can I see your Sonic the Hedgehog boxers?

Perhaps, but G-Darius boxers could have educational value too:

"You will see the creation of new lives..."

"...unless you use protection."
