You cannot imagine my anger...

Post by JBC »

Years. YEARS. That's how long i've been waiting for Megaman Mania (Anniversary) for the GBA. Years.

The day before yesterday was its latest release date. I was just sure of it this time! I mean - they already pushed it back two or three other times. They can't possibly push it back again, can they? Wrong. They can.

I dreamed. DREAMED that night about owning that game. I dreamed of going to the video game store and buying it. I dreamed of playing it all night. But then when i woke up...

...it wasn't Christmas - and my game had been delayed again. AGAIN. I called every game store. I checked the internet. I asked my freinds.

Capcom has delayed MegaMan GBA again. Delayed it this time until Febuary 16th, 2006. Two-Thousand-and-fucking-SIX.

My ass burns.

Just give up, megaman is a failure, By that time next year, you're not going to be playing GBA.

I have some friends who've been waiting for this as well. It's one thing to push a release date back, but it's completely ridiculous when the game is just a bunch of ports/roms with some extras added in. Absolutely inexcusable. Do they have more than one person at Capcom working on this compilation? Wasn't it supposed to come out last summer, originally?

Here is some news for you guys. This game will never be released. They have been pushing it back for a year and half and by Spring next year, the GBA will probably be phasing out. Capcom won't bother to with a system on the declinee.

Give up on that shit.

Oh, don't guilt trip me. It's a GBA game. It appears as if you just wanted to share your grief with the rest of us for a little sympathy. Get a grip.

The same thing's going to be happening when Raiden III comes to PS2. "Why isn't it on gamecube?" "How come they didn't put it on xbox!!" threads will be popping up like prostitutes in your local supermarket's freezer section.

At least it hasn't been cancelled, CircuitFace. And you got lots of other Megaman games to hold you over. You can hold on till 2006 by trying to beat each game by using only the Mega Buster. Now that's a challenge! (But it can be done all right, at least with MM 1-3. I was able to beat IceMan with only the arm cannon. Imagine my surprise when I found out BombMan was even easier to beat.)

ah yes! beating the Megaman series with just an *uncharged* megabuster, the powerful weapon also known as the peashooter...

That was how I spent my childhood. Irresponsible urchin I was... But hey, it was fun, extremely fun. That is how Megaman games should be played!

It's even more fun with the X series.

Actually, I found 3 to be the hardest to beat with the peashooter, with 1 in close second. The rest were all hard, but doable.

I wouldn't worry too much, I bet the GBA versions would have sucky & annoying music like most GBA games.

Just play the NES versions.
Or Mega Man X3, X6 on SNES/PS-1

Or even better, hook up the pc to your TV and play them using an emulator.
ZSNES & VBA look great on a TV with all the cool interpolation filters.

Hey, I feel your pain. Having all those Megaman games on one cart would be very cool-- especially because some of them can command moderately high prices these days!

What's with everyone getting down on him?

Definately should take advantage of the Cube/PS2 Megaman Collection though!

You know, I've passively been checking up on this collection. I've got all of the GB Mega Man games, and gosh darn it I love them to death (more so than the X series and in some cases more than the NES originals), and I would love to play them with updated graphics so I can definitely feel your pain (that, and I no longer have an original GB so I cannot play them, meh). Mega Man 2 (GB)... fighting in the time zone... such memories... such memories...

I understand why you're upset, but look at it this way-there's no way the GBA Mega Man Anniversary Collection is going to have all the games that the Cube, XBOX, and PS2 ports are. That's the way it was with Namco Museum, so, assuming you own one of the 3 current-gen consoles, just pick it up on one of those platforms.

That's not the deal, Dave. I've already got Megaman Anniversary on GC. I just love the game boy ones also and spent a good chunk of my childhood playing the first one. I never got to play the other 4 and this would be my chance. Not ot mention all the cool new stuff.

Oh, so the GBA Megaman compilation is one of GBA (and other GB) Megaman games? Because I know for certain that the GC, PS2, and XBOX Megaman Anniversary Collections all have 1-8, from the NES, SNES, and Saturn, plus the arcade Power Battles.

The GBA Megaman Mania actually collects Megaman 1-5 Gameboy games. They are totally separate games from the Nes classics. They still use some of the same bosses and such but they are totally different games.

Ok, I gotcha!

And I really do feel your pain-in January of last year I put down money on PS2 Metal Slug 3-which ended up never making it out.

But hopefully this one will, it sounds great!
