The Level 2 Blues

Post by freddiebamboo »

I've been playing Galuda quite a bit recently, and for awhile I've been doing the usual clean run to level 5-1
(followed by a capitulation at the hectic bit at the end, and the usual panic at the boss first attack... the less said about 5-2 the better :D )

Lately though, stage 2 is just kicking my arse. First the boss starts acting up in it's last attack, and now I barely make it past the mid boss without some ridiculous error of judgement.

This seems to be a calling card of cave games, DDP 2nd stage used to get me everytime for a month when I'd try to get fancy (Strat: just ignore it and make your score later)

Anyone else get this from time to time? Or am I crazy?

EDIT: Gunbird 2 is also a culprit (man, I get fed up with restarting :( )

Never happened to me with that game, but I've run into a few games where I seem to do worse with more practice. Somehow I get it into my head that I'm hot shit and I don't need bombs or something, and I start dying like crazy on the early levels.

I had this in stage 3 w/ Galuda (in just 1 spot) and in stage 1 boss on Progear. All due to stupid mistakes.

it does happen. i think part of it is you start relaxing and thinking (for example) "stage 2 is easy for me, now that i can make it to stage 5", i make that mistake sometimes.
