This game looks awesome. I don't know why but this is one of the few FPS/TPS games that has gotten my attention the past four or five years along with Bayonetta and Vanquish. Toshihiro Nagoshi, who created the Yakuza series and was involved with Shenmue, is the brain behind it. He's also hooked up other Yakuza staff on board for this one. Will probably story-heavy which can only be a good thing.

Re: Binary Domain
I like the general idea and the visual style, but the gameplay looks rather uninteresting. I wish that Nagoshi instead of trying to appeal to the Western audiences by making yet another TPS would rather make something as imaginative and distinctly Japanese as his Ryu ga Gotoku(Yakuza) games.
Re: Binary Domain
The beginning of the trailer invoked massive tension UP.
Then part of the gameplay came, complete with hiding behind appropriately placed walls/bunkers/cars and a power sliding mechanism.
Didn't like Vanquish/Gears/Lost Planet much despite buying, so I'll pass.

Re: Binary Domain
I havnt had chance to play Vanquish yet even though it seems like something I might like even though im not really a lover console FPS games.
This game looks very similar so the gameplay element seems ok to me at this stage. What really draws me to this is the story. The idea of a terminator / Irobot theme with a Japanese flavour is really appealing to me.
Im happy that this game will be finished and not binned by SEGA when the teaser trailer was first released and the sheer amount of hate for this game from western gamers this is what I expected to happen.

Eh, to be honest, the trailer looked painfully by-the-book to me. Bunch of grizzled, vaguely futuristic soldier types in black plastic suits blasting away from their usual cover emplacements. Nothing I haven't seen a couple dozen times now. Graphics keep getting better and better, but the actual aesthetic decisions within these games seem to be uninspired. Maybe I'm getting jaded.
The robots look kind of interesting in that they took a lot of visual cues from i Robot, which creates a little more sense of visual originality.
