The Wonderful Towers of Mr Imp - platformer with an attitude

Post by 8bitattitude »

Hello

I am the developer behind 8bitattitude. My goal is to develop no-nonsense arcade games with an emphasis on fun and challenge.
I recently released my first game, The Wonderful Towers of Mr Imp, a single-screen platformer available for Windows. A Mac version will follow soon.

The game has 5 towers and 25 rooms to conquer and can be described as quite challenging. I believe this challenge comes from good design rather than bad though. Basically, I made the game in a way that I would have liked to see other people make them. This includes pixel-art and lo-fi sound, as without them, certain styles of game loose much of their charm and playability.

A 2 tower demo is available for download
Zipped version here: http://8bitattitude.com/WonderfulTowersDemo.zip
Installer version here: http://8bitattitude.com/Towers_Demo_Setup.exe

This is the games homepage: http://8bitattitude.com/towers.html
The full version cost $4.99.

I welcome any suggestions and inqueries. If you want to link to the demo-files on your blog, please feel free to do so.

I look forward to hearing from you. Join the 8bit revolution!

Here is a link to a short video of the game in action. It shows the double nature of each room.

It seems the video won't load for most people.
Someone posted a mirror on TinyPic here:

Living in China at the moment, I cannot actually verify if it works.
