Unknown horror / splatter film...

[ST Dragon]

Hi,
I vaguely remember a horror / splatter film which I’ve been trying to track down but don’t remember the title.
I saw it on TV back in summer 1994 and it involved a crazy guy, who is his hallucinations was in contact with this sinister kid that was instructing him to kill people. In one scene they kill this girl at the wrong time and the kid proposes to split her wish bone (like a chicken) to decide who will get rid of her corpse. Towards the end of the film, the female leading actor discovers that the kid was actually a zombie / mummy (Similar to the crypt keeper from the tales of the crypt), when they come face to face in a dark cellar.

So anybody knows the name of the film and what year it was released?

Hmmm, this is one of those horror flicks with a crazy premise. Would you say that it came out during the '80s or the '90s, ST Dragon?

Some of those older '80s horror flicks like "Deadtime Stories" has never been properly released on DVD even though it was released on VHS format back in the day. Even features a Colecovision console cameo scene.

As a huge fan of Deadtime Stories I'm happy to say that it did get a DVD release -- at least in the US -- from Image Entertainment. Sadly, it's a full screen, bare bones DVD. Also, it's currently up for viewing on archive.org.

As for the film…

Note that only the crazy guy saw this kid as a human, when in fact it was not!

Also the scene where they split her to get her wish bone is shown behind a shadow and not directly.
