Hello again, anyone here into Rc Heli's?
I have a little sorte that I enjoy flying.
Maybe soon I can provide some pics (couple days maybe)
Anyhow, my heli collection consist of 4 Havoc's by AirHogs. These are cool and cheap...as in throwaway. They fly ok, but they're only 2 channel. One of my favorites is a Helix 360 (4 channel) also by Airhogs. This one is the greatest for the money!!! I also own 2 AirHogs Sharpshooters(2 channel) as well as two Intercepter 3 channels. The Intercepters are considerably larger than the others mentioned, and can also be flown outside, in very calm/still conditions.
I have plans to upgrade to something like a Honeybee, or Blade CX2.
Anythoughts,questions?

Re: RC Helicopters...
I have two mini Blade MCX and a Walkera Lama indoor heli.
Haven't used them in 6 month's or so but they are fun when I do .
MCX are so easy to fly , anyone can right from the start , the Walkera is not so forgiving though .
Can't beat the MCX for indoor .

I started off with the Honey Bee King.... but the damn hobby is just way too expensive. I racked up a couple of thousand bucks on the hobby and decided to call it quits after crashing one of my helis. This was when I was learning how to hover too
I supped up one of my Honey Bee Kings at one time and never flew it due to the fear of crashing. With all the bells and whistles it racked up to about 700$ at the time. That doesn't even include the Spectrum Transmitter I purchased to fly it. I probably will never fly again just because the hobby is so damn expensive.
Both my little Honey Bee Kings are on top of my video game shelf up for display. It looks pretty cool just sitting there. I wish I can fly them but I'm sure once I get them off the ground they'll just come crashing down.

I haven't tried anything RC helicopters beyond the cheap toy ones, but I do have a couple of RC trucks (a Traxxas Revo 3.3 and a 1/16 E-ReVO VXL) that I need to get back into shape and start using again. I probably spent more time working on the things than driving them, but they're fun to mess around with.

A guy at work brought in a little cheap 40 dollar RC Helicopter he got at a kiosk in a mall and was flying it around the office. It was yellow and I immediately thought about the Ketsui ship and then I wanted one haha.
It was pretty cool, seemed fun to fly and generated a lot of wind (papers were flying all over the place)

Re: RC Helicopters...
Well, since my initial post, I've acquired a few more heli's!
Walkera 5#10 4ch(co-axial) with 2402 transmitter.
Syma S107 3ch (flys great for $30 palm size/yellow)
Walkera UFLY-S (fixed pitch 4ch) with transmitter . 2 Art Tech "Mini Wolf SE". 4ch both co-ax. (for indoor practice) Similar to the 5#10, but smaller.
I'm totally sold on the Blade MSR 4ch, really...REALLY thinking about getting one soon!

that's the exact one the guy I work with has! he busted it the other day though... flew it up real high and it came crashing down and broke the black rod on the top (balance bar?) I'm sure he could fix it. amazon sells replacements for $2.55TWITCHDOCTOR wrote:Syma S107 3ch (flys great for $30 palm size/yellow)

Re: RC Helicopters...
At my work site, during the Christmas shopping season, a co-worker had gotten in some cool mini R/C helicopters priced at $19.99 USD. I bought one just to see how it was. Since it's only a single channel transmitter, to go up & down at best, it features a twin rotor design. I bought a backup unit just in case the primary R/C helicopter does "bite the dust" one of these days. Six double AA batteries recharges the minature Li-Po battery pack housed inside the ABS plastic shell (which is transparent and you can actualy see how it works when in motion). Eventually, those mini R/C helicopters were priced on clearance for a mere $5.00! Talk about practically giving them away at that price.
I've been eyeing that cool Air Hogs 4-channel Helix 360 mini R/C helicopter...are they worth the asking retail price of $59.99 USD?
I went to a local hobby shop one time and the owner demostrated a cool hobby-grade electric mini R/C helicopter that came with a 6-channel radio transmitter...it was so acrobatic that it could even hover in mid-air completely upside down. How cool is that? The price tag was nothing to sneeze at though, it was priced at $450.00 USD! I passed up on the offer to buy it (considering that it came with spare blades if the primary blades got broken). Of course, you do get what you pay for if you do end up buying a hobby-grade indoor electric mini helicopter with a 6-channel radio setup.
