Best way to hook a xbox 360 up in a blast city cab?

Post by Drachenherz »

I'd love to be able to play Mushi Futari on my Blast City cab. The monitor has a d-sub connector, can I use the box on the monitor with the vga adaptor for the xbox or do I need some kind of additional adaptor like the jpac or something like the uvc?

I have a hacked xbox pad for the controls. But how would I connect the sound?

What are your experiences?

You should be able to use a standard 360 VGA cable with the resolution set to 640x480 just fine. As for sound, you may be able to find a small amp that can connect directly to the speaker wires on the cab, or just get a cheap set of PC speakers connected with a coupler and use those.

I've never seen a Blast City in person, but doesn't all high res cabinets come with a built in amplifier for sound? If not, just get a 2.1 system and put the sub woofer in your cab as an amplifier. I've read somewhere (I think it was over at AO) that some people have had video issues with a 360 in a BC, but don't take my word for it. A VGA cable in 480p should work perfectly, just get a Microsoft made one, as 3rd party ones usually have ghosting issues.
