Half-life 2 and Steam

Post by Platypus[gEc] »

Hello,

I have somewhat of a problem concerning Half-life 2 and it's registration via Steam.

About a week ago i formatted my HD (it had to be done) and as usual there is always something you forget to back up... in this case my steam account name and password.

So when i try to reïnstall and activate my Half-life 2 copy steam says i can't register because the productnumber has already been registered by someone (yeah, by me... aw crap...)

Does anyone know what to do? I want to play this game without having to resort to buying it again...

You should have gotten an email to your email account that you used to register steam with.

might want to check http://steampowered.com

Yeah, once you register for the first time, you don't have to again. So just log in with your e-mail and password, and you should be able to download all of your old games again without any trouble.
