VP250 RGB/YUV port not working

I picked up my VP250 awhile back for the SLG3000, but it was only cheap since it was selling "as is". Well the s-video port works great, but I had a problem when I tried out RGB/YUN on it. first everything was in green, then it just went blank. I'm not sure if it's a couple of loose wires or if the thing had a circuit short out. Is anyone willing to offer advice?

were you outputting RGB or YUV? What mode was the TV in (or is it auto)?

I was trying to output both formats from my PS2. The display I use is a regular computer crt monitor with vga input.
