Installing a Keystone battery holder on a CPS2 board

Got a Gigawing that I'll need to be replacing the battery on, and found this while searching:

Seems like it'd work alright, but I also found people saying there were issues with corrosion and such. Just wondering if anyone here had experience with this particular mod.
