Sounds like Bullet Philharmonic Orchestra.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

I don't understand why this idea is appealing.
Re: ShmusicUp Creates Bullet Hell Patterns From MP3 Files
I'm hoping that's a very preliminary video, as the same boss fight over and over with different bullets isn't too exciting. This is one of those neat ideas that never really seems to work out - Internal Section was about as good as it has ever been. The other recent ones (Beat Hazard) have been fun for a short time at best.

its just gonna be a boss run, this would be 100% better with proper stages.
They say theyre trying to ballance to game by making fast paced music that would normally make a harder game then slower tempo songs. Personally ild like to keep it unballanced as it allows us to changfe the difficulty at will.
Personally im prolly gonna pass on this game, its all a bit meh atm.

Any of you out there who compose music want your stuff used in the game's pack-in soundtrack? Submit it!

Interesing...cant imagine what patterns would come when you throw in a Marduk album

Re: ShmusicUp Creates Bullet Hell Patterns From MP3 Files
Such a great concept, but it looks incredibly dull. I don't really see much connection between the music and the pattern. It looks the most generic freeware shmup possible really.

I'd be willing to give it a shot, but not for more than like $5.

This would be cool if the tempo of the music determined the speed of the bullets, or the rate that new waves appear. This would be cool if accents in the music (such as snare hits, heavy chords etc...) created noticable accents in the bullet patterns. This could be epic...
But it looks like the music doesn't have any perceptible effect on the bullets. The developers are doing it wrong.
Still, the idea of songs creating specific bullet and enemy patterns is interesting. But as-is, the sound tracks that skilled professional shmup developers and musicians create for their bullet patterns fit much better.
