International Video Game Hall of Fame

Currently, the list is too "TG-ish" (although there are definitely people that deserve to be there, such as Billy Mitchell). Though, they're going through an induction process for next year...

I think this Hall of Fame is interesting. There are certain things that they should definitely look at, though (although they are just starting up).

-Since this is the "International" VG Hall of Fame, they should look into all-time great "international" players, such as in Japan, korea, China, Latin America, Europe, etc...

-They should look into different competitive genres. Contrary to some belief, you don't have to swift through thousands of games for champions in those games, because most games aren't really worthy of that. In terms of competitive gaming, there are three (four if you separate time-attack from high score) types: High score (ex. Pac-Man) or Time Attack (ex. Super Mario Kart), Competitive (ex. Street Fighter 2, Quake, Starcraft), and speed-run (ex. Super Mario Bros.). In those types, there are some games that are competitive, or at least were at a time. High Score would mostly be arcade games (mostly from the golden age, shmups, with some after, maybe some games from the 8-16 bit console era) and modern consoles, and a couple puzzle and music games, competitive would be Fighting Games, FPS, RTS (probably just Starcaft and Warcraft 3, maybe an Age of Empires, but that is a long shot), and Sports (which would be only Madden and FIFA), and Speed Run would be whatever game has a lot of competition in it (although I'm sure andrewg can give his input on this).

Those are just some ideas thrown out. I'd hope that they broaden their horizons (there are great champions from different genres, high score shouldn't be the only factor), though I certainly wouldn't want the Hall of Fame to be an "everyone is welcome" club.

This has just started, though, so maybe it will expand
