Just came across on Cave World's twitter. I'm shocked and kind of disappointed. I want this on a real system, not a phone.

Although this really changes nothing. I'm sure Asada is aware that people want DFK on 360.

I'm surprised. I guess this just means they'll drag out the 360 release now.

Oh fuck me... come on. I want this game on the 360, so sick of this portable crap. So god-damned annoying. Fuck it... I'm saving my cash for the PCB.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?
Re: Next Cave iPhone port is Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu
Yeah, I can't understand how you're supposed to do well in such tiny screens.Danbo Daxter wrote:are people actually seriously playing shmups on these devices

Bah I hope this isn't the end of Xbox360 ports. I can't stand the idea of playing those games on my iPhone.

How popular is the IPhone in Japan anyway? If there are allot of iphone users i could see a cave game doing really well, with it making sense that cave going where they can make money and riding on the success of EspG 2 iphone version.
It might suck for 360 shmup nuts but those here with iphones aswell will still buy it.

Re: Next Cave iPhone port is Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu
Doesn't mean it's never coming to 360.. besides EspGaluda 2 was an amazing port and worked incredibly well on the touchscreen - Controls were unbelieveably precise.
Can't wait for this

I have an iPhone but I refuse to support it, otherwise we end up only seeing Cave iPhone ports in the future and nothing else. I was already really worried when I read the Cave interview that was posted here a few weeks ago, it was 50%+ about iPhone development. Apparently they mentioned that it takes them just 2-3 months to port a game to iPhone now, so from an economic point of view I guess this makes much sense to them as long as they have decent sales.TrevHead (TVR) wrote: It might suck for 360 shmup nuts but those here with iphones aswell will still buy it.
Re: Next Cave iPhone port is Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu
no 360 port? this sucks big time
Re: Next Cave iPhone port is Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu
NICE!!! I know I'm in the minority here, but I can't wait to play this on my iPad.
What's the big deal everyone, it will still likely have a 360 port too. You're mad at Cave for trying to succeed as a business, go fuck yourself. They are raising the bar for the iPhone games market and this is there big chance to get big time world wide exposure and recognition. For all we know this could be a desperation move on their part to stay afloat! If that was the case would you still complain like a little bitch!?

cave's games, being precise bullet hell games with amazing sounds and visuals, are the least appropriate games for playing on a fucking telephone, and it's annoying to those who think their games deserve something better that they really seem to be putting emphasis on this shit.chempop wrote:NICE!!! I agree with chempop. It's not as if they'll not port it to the 360 later on.
I'm also guessing at least half the people bitching about how bad phone games are never even played Esp2 on iPhone. It's far better than you'd expect and in fact a lot of fun. No it's not as good without a joystick but if you don't like it, don't play it. For six quid it's hard to complain.

FFS, it's the SECOND game on the iPhone. There's been what, 5 Cave games on the 360 so far? Just have some patience. Like I said, it's not like they've ditched a home system over a phone.Danbo Daxter wrote: it's annoying to those who think their games deserve something better that they really seem to be putting emphasis on this shit.
Just be thankful they are getting more attention abroad. More exposure = more chance of future international releases on 360.

Small screen bullet hell can go kiss my ass.

I actually like Espgaluda II on my iPad, so I guess I'm in the minority here as well that's looking forward to this. I wouldn't think there's any chance that this would replace a 360 port, so I don't see the problem with supporting Cave by buying Dodonpachi iPhone.
Re: Next Cave iPhone port is Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu
i have played it and didn't enjoy it at all, far too fiddly to do even basic things like part-destroying the red ships in stage 1, and i'm convinced that people who say a telephone is the ideal or even an appropriate platform for bullet hell games are by and large, fuckshits.RetroRepair wrote:I agree with chempop. Now, if you're playing the game on a telephone you will never in a trillion years experience the game. You'll think you have experienced it, but you will be cheated. It's such a sadness that you think you've played a game on your fucking telephone. Get real.

Oh wait they do have alot of nasty ass sex with their hot little apple toys every night

Re: Next Cave iPhone port is Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu
Its a great way to try out a game.
I love Galuda 2 for the iPhone, and I've owned the PCB. Although similar, its not an accurate representation of the game.
Full screen and LS32's are the only way to go for a great game like DFK.
I'll but the iPhone port, and the 360 port as well - its gonna come out.

yeah, same here. Played it on an Iphone for the first time last night and it didn't work nearly as well as on the ipad.I actually like Espgaluda II on my iPad, so I guess I'm in the minority here as well that's looking forward to this. As others have said - i don't think these ports are replacing X360 ports. It's just a good way for Cave to make some very quick side bucks. I'm pretty confident we'll see DFK on the X360 at some point.
