Hey guys, here is a link to a tiny shmup i just finished entitled Boss Fight. here are the things to keep in mind for getting a highscore :
shoot the core = more damage (faster kill = bigger bonus) and more points per hit.
eat bullets with your special attack, not just to get out of sticky situation but if timed right, to eat a whole lot of bullets at once and get crazy points.
get ready to hit retry a few times.

Pretty nifty little shooter you have there and I liking the sound track awesome rock guitar.

One slight thing I would change is the hit box seems to be a bit on the large side.

Its a plug in from Click Team which seems to be clean my scanner hasn't picked anything up though so should be ok I use Eset Nod32.

This is the second game today that needs a plug in for them to work.

You can buy the stand alone game as well just check the web site out.

It seems to need this one. Clickteam is a known company and not some fly-by-night trojan factory, though that doesn't necessarily mean that the plugin is free of inadvertent security holes that might be exploitable via a malicious file. They go to pains to state that it's "100% safe", but it's unlikely that they're actually in a position to guarantee that; they probably just mean that the API exposed to Vitalize apps can't do anything nasty. If a deliberately malformed file can smash the stack, all bets are off.

Indeed it kind *sucks* that it requires an additional plugin to be able to play it, but the plugin is small and worth it. Definitely Trojan free.

For the collision box, it wouldn't pass a Cave collision exam, but I didn't want to go that route. A bit more towards Axelay with a bit more forgiveness. Glad some of you like it.

Thanks for trying it out ! I am working on a 360 version with two additional difficulties. That should be out some time this year, maybe. A friend is handling the port.

I am also making a remake of Mini Shooter RS for those who've heard of it. working along with Pepo of Peposoft, we're going to take it to the next level.

The attacks of the bosses were kinda fair, they required some memorization though ( sometimes I forgot about the green laser and got killed by it ).
Anyway, got to first place with score of 3.3 millions.

Edit: Improved to 3.46 millions.

Unfortunately the plugin is a different story. I installed it with the plan to uninstall it after. To my surprise, there's no uninstall option. I am pissed.

Okay.
This game is very good. While the plug-in might scare others, it is still a damn fine game. Graphics are very good ( boss sprite is awesome ) and the music rocks. The only problem I have is that it features only one boss. More bosses would be cool.
Also, increased by score to 4.3 millions.

Relying on a plugin is a bad idea, but relying on a plugin that cannot be uninstalled makes you guilty. Get rid of Vitalize, and I'll play your game.
