My search engine skills are lacking this evening in regards to finding the song I'm looking for, so mayhaps someone here can help me? God, I hope so.
So, song X is definitely of the rock persuasion, maybe metal-ish but it's been a month since I've heard it so details are sketchy. All I remember is that it was kind of more uptempo than most rock/metal I hear played on the radio around here these days, but obviously not speed/thrash or punk uptempo. It was played on one of our two shitty corporate local rock stations that don't like to get too experimental until it's like 2AM and then they don't tell you who they just played. It sounded like a newer song, and the band definitely didn't sound like anyone I've heard before nor have I heard the song since. The only lyric fragments that I can remember were repeated a bit near the song's end and might have been either "throw me away", "just throw me away", "toss me away", "throw it all away", "toss it all away" or something similar.
And that's all I've got. I've Googled the hell out of this for the last two hours, I've looked on YouTube (urgh, people still make AMV's?), and worst of all...I've been searching on lyrics sites hoping to god my AV doesn't let a trojan or some other fun in. It's not Korn, nor is it Reggie and the Full Effect (nice surprise on that find, though), definitely not 112 (hurr), nope to Enrique Iglesias, and I'm going crazy. plz2bhelpingmekbai

Re: Song finding time
this isn't Breaking Benjamin is it - the tune that ends Halo? "Blow me away?"

though from what you say i doubt it, as they seem pretty generic rock.
wasn't Nine Inch Nails? older track - can't remember the name...

Again, i assume not - but just eliminating some more obvious choices.

Re: Song finding time
Gragh, heard the song today. Forget what I said about it being uptempo; it's not speedy at all. Still no mention of who plays it or the name of the song, but the vocals sound kind of husky/breathy and the last bit can also sound like "running away'. I'm going to go crazy.

Re: Song finding time
For the one and hopefully only time in my life, thank you Billboard rock charts. I would have never found this via search engine, as every lyric interpretation of the final bit I had was completely wrong.
