Not sure if anyone is interested but thought i'd throw it out there
Flickr Set with 140 or so pictures of the new Club Sega
http://www.flickr.com/photos/dcharlie/s ... 840594575/
Noticed going through my older photo folders that i have a load of photos of arcades, mainly Japanese ones, so might tidy them into sets.
Not all that great, but might be of interest to someone i guess.

Very nice! I wasn't aware Club Sega had such an elaborate shmupping and retro section. The bathrooms aren't bad either
How new is this place? IIRC Sega had an arcade more towards the end of the main stretch of Chuo-Dori, but it was smaller and had mostly just fighters. That was last summer while I was there, think that was closed down in lieu of this one?
I'd love to see more if you got em, very nice pictures (much better than mine

Wow, thanks for the pictures!
I want to live there. I'd sleep in the bathroom and eat Seventeen Ice.

opened a month or so ago, it's where the Satou Musen used to be - that had briefly become a mini live venue place for a while, until Sega moved in.How new is this place? But yes, there are now 3 Club Sega's on the main road in Akihabara within spitting distance of each other, this one being about 30m or so away from the original club Sega near the green bridge. as for plans for any of them to shut , who knows? So far no sign of any of the others closing. I can see this place really taking off - it's really well thought out, great atmosphere, smoking sections, good access, nice and spacious.... and sparkling clean toilets

Only thing i personally felt that was missing was pre-JAMMA early 80s retro stuff but given the rest of the games there, that's a minor quibble.

Wow, that's a very nice place obviously. I need to go to Japan before I miss out.

Really nice pics!
I'm kinda surprised to see Gradius II. Excellent game, but a very skilled player could occupy the machine indefinitely.

Updated set :
Leisure Land - Akihabara set - uploading, there are 190 or so shots :
http://www.flickr.com/photos/dcharlie/s ... 879257015/
i also managed to get a load of shots of Hey and Try too, will upload later though slightly busted in Hey as they have a strict NO PHOTO policy.
please take particular note in the Leisure Land shots the "sketch pad" photos - which are shots of drawings left by patrons over 5 years or so - i didn't particularly hunt down great pics, just randomly scanned but still hit several impressive drawings (IMO)
