My first arcade stick and I'm having some serious problems

Post by CrimsonDX »

I just got my brand new 360 HRAP EX-SE today. Unfortunately I am experiencing a weird problem. It seems that a lot of games (T11, Exceed, Nanoha STG etc) are really freaking out. It is like the up-left buttons are being constantly pressed, so the menus are unusable and even if i can get into the game itself the character will just shoot right up towards to the top left corner. Other games though (T6, IaMP, AirRade etc) play perfectly and it works perfectly on the 360. I tried installing that XBCD thing but I can't get it to work at all and neither Joy2Key nor Xpadder will help the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I presume you've specifically installed the windows driver for 360 controllers?

Try removing any usb splitters/extender cables if present [ had a stick that was always down because of one once]

However your best bet might rely on some custom drivers out there... probably produced for 3rd party reasons:

This is the one I had - http://matt-land.com/xbcd/

This mentions something similar albeit a bit more extended - http://www.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=141775

Still not working >_<

The problem with the XBCD is that the utility will not detect my controller no matter what methods I use. Maybe I should have mentioned but I am currently using Windows 7 32bit.

When I try to install the driver using the device manager it doesn't say XBCD. The only things listed are

"Xbox 360 Controller for Windows Version: 2.1.0.1349 [8/13/2009]"

and

"XBOX 360 Controller For Windows Version:6.1.7600 [6/21/2006]"

I already tried signing the driver using that Device signature enforcement thing.

ugh, maybe i should just wait and try building a custom controller to work with PC :\
