I've gotten back into shmup developing and decided to make another project based on some plans that were originally going to be for a one-switch shmup, but ended up turning into a traditional one after not being able to implement a one-switch control system well.

This shmup is going to be caravan-style, bearing 2, 5, 10, and 15 minute modes. It'll involve medal collecting a la Ketsui, charge shots, and a rather unorthodox scoring system. The mechanics are almost polished, and once satisfactory, I'll start creating enemy graphics, formations, bullet patterns, and more sound effects. Music might be in the final product, but I'm still using the Lite version of Game Maker, so unfortunately the music will have to be packed with the executable.

Until I can get a suitable build out, here's some pictures of the development of this shmup:
