Hope this isn't too off topic for the chat section-- it's a shooter-- albeit one I have a vested interest in.

Stride Gum is running their second "Save the Arcades" promotion. Their online game this year is a Robotron-like shooter called "Cowbots 2010". (It's not going to replace Robotron on the classics list, but for a promotional game it's actually entertaining. I got ~124,000 pts.

Anyway... Our arcade (Ground Kontrol in Portland, OR, USA) is one of the three nominees in the competition this year. In a nutshell-- you play "Cowbots 2010" and when your game ends, you can 'donate' your points to the arcade you want to win. (They do want you to register with an email and password, but FWIW I never received any emails from them from last years promotion.) The arcade with the most points at the end of the contest (mid-June) takes the $25K prize! (If we win, we're going to put it all back in to Ground Kontrol by expanding our second floor for more space and more games... Fingers crossed...)
So-- if you have some time to kill and like kinda campy retro remakes, check it out. Obviously we'd love to be the recipient of your points donation, but that decision is up to you!

The links on the "arcade profiles" page in the contest are incorrect for the moment (it just went live today)-- Ground Kontrol's website is here if you want to see what we've got going on:

Thanks in advance for the help if you decide to shoot on our behalf.
