Hey all I just started playing this game. Fun stuff!
Quick question, though: I was under the impression that once I beat a level, it should become available in practice mode. How exactly does this work?
Ive gotten all the way to the 5-1 boss, but I can only practice levels 1-1 through 3-2. I die a lot in stage 4 right now, and would love to spend some time practicing it without having to play the first 3 full levels each time, but it's still greyed out in practice mode.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe I have to beat the entire level without using a continue or something, which wouldn't seem to make too much sense.
Thanks for any help.

Re: ST: Shikigami no Shiro Series (04.02.05 - ST repost)
Stages only unlock for Practice mode if you're on your first credit when you reach them.
You're not allowed to ever continue, makes perfect sense imo.

This doesn't really belong in the ST as it's more about the feature on the port, so I split it into its own thread.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Ah, I see. I guess I was thinking it was practice for us noobs who are still focusing on survival, rather than practice for scoring. Guess I have my work cut out for me. Still a pretty fun game so far, though.
And thanks Ghegs, I wasn't really sure where to post this.

Even if you play for survival, you want to clear a game on one continue?
Re: Shikigami no Shiro 2 Practice Mode
Shiki2 has a good practice mode. You can work on skills like point blanking, only using shikigami, bullet dodging on later level. Work on 3-1, the boss is so much fun once you can no miss it.

Re: Shikigami no Shiro 2 Practice Mode
Ok, this might sound pretty strange, but...
After a few weeks of not playing this game, I put it back in this afternoon after work and everything seems much more difficult. There seem to be a lot more bullets on the screen. I haven't changed any options that I know of, and right now the difficulty on the options screen is set to very easy, and I pick Normal under arcade mode, which is what I had been doing before I took a break.
Does anyone have any idea of what might be going on? Am I just going crazy or something? I know that rank affects things somewhat, but if anything my rank should be lower than normal these last few playthroughs since I'm doing horribly.

This is gpnna sound weird
Try bumping up the difficulty a notch or two. The bullets move really slow at too easy. So, they build up. I didn't clear it untill I started playing on notmal. It does effect boss patterns though.

There is no Rank in Shikigami no Shiro 2.
