Boston area arcades: Good Times Emporium?

Post by alpha5099 »

A long time ago on the old board, there was a thread about arcades in the Boston area. I remember someone mentioned an arcade that actually seemed to be worthwhile, I believe there was mention of Dimahoo and maybe one of the Raiden Fighters games. I believe it was called Good Times Emporium, in Somerville, but I don't remember for sure.

If I do have the right name of the place, does it still have a good selection of games? Any idea how much they charge per game?

---

And while I'm asking questions about the Boston area, does anyone know of some good places to buy used games, especially Genesis carts? Are there any flea markets in the area?

The Dimahoo machine is long gone. There are only Raiden,Raiden 2, and Raiden Fighter Jet thats on the second "level" with all of the fighting games above the bowling alley..Theres also a strikers 1945 plus machine but the 1st player side, the bomb button is fucked up and 2nd player side, the joystick is super stiff. The raiden games go for 50 cent per play. I believe to buy genesis carts, you can always check out this place called Building 19 in Lynn and Somerville. Its an indoor flea market that sells practically almost everything (even guns, i believe..err, i duno one time i walked in there so fucken high it was hard not to bump into people)
The cave whore count in this thread is unbelievable!!!
