Good/Cheap 360 Stick
Good/Cheap 360 Stick
I'm interested in the Mushi stick for the 360, I just wanted to make sure if thats a good choice? I'm trying to balance Quality vs. Price. I don't want something thats going to break in a year either.

If you don't care about having the Mushi stick's artwork, the superior EX-SE is still $90 shipped at Amazon. It has an LS-32 (same as Mushi) and PS-14 buttons (better than Mushi).
Re: Good/Cheap 360 Stick
Thats awesome man thanks. Thats more of an affordable price range for me right now seeing as I just spent 91 on Mushi.

That's my favourite combination for shmups. Wouldn't have it any other way.StarCreator wrote:If you don't care about having the Mushi stick's artwork, the superior EX-SE is still $90 shipped at Amazon. It has an LS-32 (same as Mushi) and PS-14 buttons (better than Mushi).

The HRAP EX-SE is $80 today... best price I've ever seen on it. I'm considering buying a second.

Some people will tell you it isn't that great as it uses Hori's own components (stick and buttons). I've got one (actually for sale) and I've got an SFIV TE stick (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Street-Fighter- ... B001M25AY6) and the difference is huge as the TE stick uses arcade grade components (Sanwa).
I think the Street Fighter IV SE stick isn't that much more (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Catz-Street-Fig ... B001M22VCU) and from what I understand you can upgrade the components to arcade grade fairly easily if you decide you want to.
At the end of the day it all depends on what you need it for. The EX2 is good for what it is in my opinion but it seems a little pricey on Amazon.

Re: Good/Cheap 360 Stick
My main concern is size, not price.
My wife is going to bring me one from the UK, and she won't carry a EX SE, cause it's too big.
That Street Fighter one looks small enough, maybe I could convince her, if it's really better than the Hori Fighting Stick

EX2s are junk. Don't even bother considering it.
They feel terrible and tend to break in various ways after a couple of months of serious use. This is made worse by the fact that the stick isn't designed to be maintainable in any way, so you can't really fix it without a dremel and soldering iron.
The MadCatz SE sticks, on the other hand, allow you to drop in parts with nothing other than the screwdriver to take the backing plate off with.

Thanks for your opinion!
I guess I'll go with the Street Fighter then.
I don't plan on modding, because I live in a country where importing anything costs an arm and a leg, so I have to buy whatever it is and keep it like that
If only I could get my hands on a HRAP EX SE... But they're not selling in UK as far as I've seen

If you're concerned about quality at all, that shouldn't stop you from importing it, because the EX-SE is totally worth it. I paid more than $200 to get one from Japan back when we all thought the super-limited Japanese release would be the only run. Seeing Amazon offer it for $80-90 a while back made my wallet weep openly.
