Are you saying this is one of those "only for sale at one specific event" items?

Yes, for more info:
Do you want to get into Comic Market 77 without waiting in the sweltering heat for hours n hours?
Then there are folks who are willing to line up for you for a total of 6 hours until 7.30am. This would mean that you could get in quite early when doors open at about 10am if you paid the 25,000 yen for these folks to line up for you.
Line-up-for-me tickets are available in Yahoo Auction.

I just wish RebRank is teasing us because they didn't confirm "coterie shops" (lol) comission of "goods" (translation: commissioning the package to Tora No Ana & Co.) because it looks way too kickass. I've always wanted a higher quality version of Samidare tunes. Punchi punchi of the good kind.

I have found this person who offers pick up service for this Comiket:

http://akino-djpick.livejournal.com/1451.html

Seems good but the price for the service is EXTREMERERY expensive, it's not just this person as I have asked another place and I was told the same thing. It seems anything that deals with Comiket buying request services do not come at a cheap price:

"(1) Book price:
the book's actual price will be computed at the rate of 1 U.S. Dollar = 83 Yen

(2) Pick-up Fee (applied to this convention only):

- $10 per book for circles in general / Flat rate of $14 for 2-4 books from the same circle
- $15 per book for wall circles / Flat rate of $20 for 2-4 books from the same circle
- $15 per book for company's booth / Flat rate of $20 for 2-4 items from the same booth"

I am thinking about using that for Samidare Archive and some other games, not sure what though as I am not aware what shmup developpers are going to have a stand there...

(i copied this from another site)

Team RebRank released at Comiket this deluxe version of danmaku Samidare which include of course the game, but the Original Sound Track 00, consisting of 18 tracks for a total duration of 45 minutes, and a World Official Data Book A4 56 pages containing detailed descriptions of the story, characters and ships. This edition in elegant packaging will be sold at a price of 1,700 yen, while the reissue of the original will be available for 500 yen.

The circle has also announced yet another very promising demo Chorus prism memories ~ ~.... Nothing really new, not even new playable courses in fact .... Apparently, they did not leave the full version this fuyucomi "because" of Samidare Archive, this would be for next time.

I wonder how long a some1 at comiket would need to wait in a queue to buy the best shooters, i would imagine it would be quite a long queue for the best titles like rebrank or zun's touhou. And i bet theres a limit to how many copies 1 person can buy.

Everyone will be all over the Touhou stuff. Samidare will most likely attract less. However, in a convention that's seen more than 500,000+ attendees... Yeah, I expect it to be gone really fast if my friend doesn't act fast.

From what people say it is actually quite a long wait.

What are those "Touhou" stuff everyone talks about? It seems like it's the Cave's of the Doujins.

And according to the list of music, doujinshi and other goodies compiled on another site... This is officially Touhouket77. There is the Touhou Space Invaders (YES) and Master Burner the Touhou Afterburner (YES!) and clones of everything. You name it, it's been Touhoulized.

But there is a Virtual-ON arrange album coming so I'm a happy person.

with a crowd that large i would think a decent doujin video game circle like siter skain, rebrank or those releasing Alt sphere and black package would be able to sell thousands of copies since to me anyway games are better then doujinshi manga that makes up most of comket. but for some reason i bet they sell alot less.

Does any1 have a idea how much copies a stg circle will be able to sell at a single comiket and how does STGs compare to ACTs, RPGs or even (shudder) ADV / visual novels?

Sadly, U.F.O. is the only GOOD Touhou game released since Phantasmagoria of Flower View. (and I'm being generous with that one; I only nostalgically attach myself to PoFV because it was my first Touhou game) And when I say "good", I don't mean like Samidare good, or Cave good, or Raizing good, I mean "good for a Touhou game", take that as you will.

Meh, even the Windows shooter category at yahoo auctions is filled with Touhou auctions... Otherwordly... I guess flying lolis who shoot each others up while wearing french aristocratic dresses really does it for the japanese.

Have to agree with MoF. I quite like it but, for me, the best was Imperishable Night. Check out bloodflowers review to see why. Was quite convincing for me a couple of years ago.

If you want to try another kickass shooter definitely go for Kamui and RefleX, although I think you already have those two?

This, and I even enjoy Touhou games. Samidare's thumping, dramatic techno beats the pants off Touhou's midi keyboard wanking, the space theme is fucking intense (I shat myself when I saw the mech boss on stage 2), the bullet patterns are off da heazy, and it's got an interesting game mechanic, unlike almost all the Touhou games. Fucking sweet game.

I'd love to nab this archive set if only for the music alone, but the box looks cool as hell, too. Shame I live in Amerika and won't be going to Comiket any time soon....

Being able to time those satellites' destruction so each *BOOM* goes off as the beat pauses (stage 2) is very slick.

Someone should translate the guidebook. The information might be interesting for anyone who wants to know the game's backstory.
